❶ Design and Construction - Essence

Idea is Negroni's classic model.

The specially developed 3E standard last has ample volume in the width and instep, and is designed to naturally fit the foot shape of most Japanese people. The reliable grip of the rubber sole and the soft cushioning of the classic insole make for comfortable riding from driving to everyday walking.

❷ Material and Expression

The upper is made of Negroni leather. It is crafted from carefully selected raw hides from Hokkaido, crafted at a tannery in Hyogo Prefecture using a unique manufacturing recipe. It features a moderately shrunk grain and vibrant color, and is durable enough to withstand long-term use. The 2025 model features an updated insole and box with a new logo.

As soon as you put your feet in, the unique tension and softness of Negroni leather will envelop your feet. The easy-fit design makes it easy to put on and take off, while providing quick response to pedal operation when driving. More than 15 years after its release, Idea continues to be loved by automotive professionals and professionals around the world. It has been adopted in automotive development and its performance has been proven by numerous championship-winning racers. The Idea is the origin of the Negroni and continues to evolve as a standard.

Specifications

- Upper: Negroni leather (cowhide | Hokkaido rawhide)
- Lining: Silver cushion lining (polyester)
- Insole: Negroni Classic insole (polyester/EVA)
- Sole: Driving rubber sole (synthetic rubber)

The upper, lining, and insole are made in Japan, while the sole is made in Italy.
The final step, attaching the sole, is done one pair at a time at the Negroni Factory Tokyo in Tokyo.
