❶ Design & Structure — Essence

The Spearhead reinterprets the functional details found in early 1970s racing shoes and refines them into a modern low-top sneaker.

Radially extending side guards, a deeply cut eyelet line, and the arrow-shaped heel tab are retained, while the choice of materials gives the shoe a calmer, more composed appearance.

The next-generation GRS last combines a sharp toe shape with vertical volume, delivering a relaxed fit while maintaining the rigidity required for sporty driving.

❷ Material & Appearance — Expression

The upper is crafted from carefully selected premium suede leather, made domestically in Japan using British raw hides.

Its fine, even nap softly diffuses light, creating a matte surface with depth. Combined with the enveloping texture unique to suede, it contributes to a stable and confident driving feel.

❸ Comfort & Responsiveness — Response

The suede version of the Spearhead offers a gentle, immediate sense of comfort from the moment you step into it.

The supple upper naturally follows the movement of the foot, while the secure heel grip ensures stable and precise pedal control.

The S-shaped structure of the GRS last supports the foot three-dimensionally, maintaining a slim profile while providing appropriate room.

In addition, the latest cushioning material using specially shaped fibers helps keep temperature and humidity balanced, even during extended driving.

Based on the design language of classic 1970s racing shoes, the Spearhead is engineered to integrate seamlessly into contemporary urban life.

Its understated appearance makes it a versatile option for everyday wear.

The Spearhead bridges the gap between sports driving and daily urban living.

The matte, restrained look of suede pairs naturally with everything from casual outfits to more refined styles, while concealing genuine driving performance beneath the surface.

Specifications

- Upper: Tuscan suede (cowhide leather, made in Italy)
- Heel tab: Negroni Wet Track Calfskin (cowhide leather, made in Japan)
- Lining: Split leather with polyester lining
- Insole: Leather insole + high-performance cushioning material (polyester/EVA)
- Sole: Neutral color driving sole (synthetic rubber | Made in Italy)

The upper, lining, and insole are made in Japan, while the sole is made in Italy.
The final step, attaching the sole, is done one pair at a time at our own workshop, Negroni Factory Tokyo.
