The Grand Prix High Top is a high-top model inspired by the racing scene of the 1960s and early 1970s. The specially developed GRS last combines a sharp silhouette with a thick toe, providing a three-dimensional hold on the foot. The rubber laces ensure easy on and off, and the high-top's unique fit is comfortable. The insole is a special combination of horsehide and polyester. It has excellent moisture management and breathability, and the three-layer cushioning disperses shock, reducing fatigue during walking and long drives.

❷ Material and Expression

The upper is made of burnished suede infused with oil. The unique gradation and effects on the surface create a vintage feel. The combination with wet track calf leather creates a striking contrast, creating a look that blends classic and modern. The lining is made of Motorhide Vintage, creating a luxurious finish that deepens with wear. Furthermore, before shipping, a nano-ceramic water-repellent coating by CeramicPro is applied to enhance the leather's natural beauty and durability.

The suppleness and softness unique to oiled suede naturally blend into your feet right from the moment you put them on. Despite the relaxed fit, the shoes respond quickly to pedal input. The comfortable cushioning and moisture-regulating properties of the horsehide insole ensure a light and comfortable fit for both everyday use and sports driving.

❹ History and Background - Legacy

This model was born from photographs and advertising materials of racers from the 1960s and 1970s that Negroni collected over several years. He brought the memories of motorsports from that era, which he found in secondhand bookstores and flea markets, into the present day, and incorporated their essence into a modern design. As a shoe that embodies the worldview of classic motorsports, it continues to be popular with many drivers and enthusiasts.

The Grand Prix High Top aims to connect the classic racing spirit to everyday life. While inheriting the passion of the past, it is refined with modern technology and materials to vividly revive racing memories. The shoe will continue to mark the brand's history as a shoe that passes on the universal aesthetic sense of motorsports to the next generation.

The upper, lining, and insole are made in Japan, while the sole is made in Italy.
The final step, attaching the sole, is done one pair at a time at the Negroni Factory Tokyo in Tokyo.
