Crafted with a patina finish, layers of French dyes in various shades are applied to light-colored wet-track calf leather to bring out a translucent depth. The colors possess a rich dimensionality, subtly shifting their appearance depending on the angle of the light. The SIGNATURE DERBY is inspired by the three-eyelet plain-toe derby seen in the British racing scene of the late 1950s. We have redrawn the clean silhouette of the British-made derby shoes worn by Mike Hawthorn as a contemporary dress shoe pattern.

It features the refined look of a plain toe with a soft texture. The fit wraps around the foot, and the natural space left at the toe ensures a gentle comfort that belies the tension of its appearance.

Underfoot is the CLUBHOUSE sole. Made of Italian Vibram Gumlite® lightweight expanded rubber, it provides light cushioning, soft flexibility, and reliable grip on the road. A leather welt dyed with French patina liquid adds the contour and depth characteristic of dress shoes.

The paddock of the 1950s was home to footwear that was still free, before converging into specialized racing shoes. The SIGNATURE DERBY inherits the dignity and practicality of the British derby shoes of that era, while being reconstructed as a pair of shoes that serve both driving and walking.
