❶ Design and Construction - Essence

The Spearhead is Negroni's latest creation, a modern low-top sneaker that reconstructs details found in racing shoes from the early 1970s. The radially extending side guards, deep eyelet lines, and arrowhead-shaped heel tab create stability and power when driving.

The next-generation GRS last combines a sharp toe shape with vertical thickness, providing a relaxed fit while still providing the rigidity needed for sporty riding. It combines urban design with reliable operability.

❷ Material and Expression

The upper is made of Negroni's proprietary "City Leather." By switching from North American to Japanese raw materials and minimizing pigments, we've achieved a clean, sophisticated look while bringing out the natural softness of the leather. The unique, slightly "soft" feel makes it comfortable to touch every time you touch it.

Additionally, the contrast created by combining two different types of Negroni Leather® gives the bag a simple yet deep, urban look.

❸ Comfort and responsiveness

The City Leather version of the Spearhead is also one of Negroni's ideal forms of comfort. The supple flexibility of the upper and the firm heel grip envelop the foot, leading to quick and stable response to pedal operation.

The S-shaped structure of the GRS last provides three-dimensional support for foot movement, providing a comfortable, roomy fit while maintaining a slim silhouette. The bucket insole provides the rigidity and stability needed for hard driving. The latest cushioning material, made with contoured yarn, provides comfortable temperature and humidity control even during long drives.

Based on the design philosophy of classic racing shoes, City Leather is designed to naturally blend into modern urban life. Each pair is finished one by one at our own workshop, Negroni Factory Tokyo, where precision craftsmanship guarantees performance and style.

❺ Vision

City Leather bridges the gap between sporty driving and urban style. The refined, smooth leather expression is versatile enough to be worn with anything from dressy to casual settings, while simultaneously offering serious driving performance. This shoe sets a new standard, connecting modern lifestyles with driving culture.

- Upper: Negroni City Leather (cowhide leather, made in Japan)
- Heel tab: Split leather (cowhide leather | Made in Italy)
- Lining: Cowhide + moisture-wicking polyester
- Insole: Bucket insole (polyester/EVA)
- Sole: Driving sole (synthetic rubber | Made in Italy)

The upper, lining, and insole are made in Japan, while the sole is made in Italy.
The final step, attaching the sole, is done one pair at a time at the Negroni Factory Tokyo in Tokyo.
