GT-R Collaboration: Second Edition

This model marks the second collaboration between NEGRONI and the Nissan GT-R 2025 edition. Guided by key figures in the GT-R’s development—Hiroshi Tamura (Brand Ambassador, Nissan Motor Corporation) and Mitsunori Morita (Chief Designer, Global Design Division)—the IDEA CORSA has been re-engineered with a custom pattern exclusive to the GT-R edition. Featuring iconic color schemes from the 2025 GT-R, every detail—material hues, surface textures, and even logo hardware—has been fine-tuned to embody the spirit of this legendary supercar.

IDEA CORSA GT-R Edition

The IDEA CORSA represents NEGRONI’s vision of the ultimate driving shoe. Its robust fit provides exceptional control and comfort, particularly suited for sports driving. Wangan Blue

To replicate the striking Wangan Blue—one of the most iconic body colors in GT-R history—NEGRONI customized its leather treatment process. A layer of pearl metallic pigment is applied between two blue dyes, creating a luminous, vivid hue that stands out under sunlight, interior lighting, or even inside the car. Contrasting blue stitching over carbon leather further enhances the shoe’s signature look.

Exquisite Emblem Craftsmanship

The GT-R emblem, developed through painstaking trial and error, is finished with nickel plating and hand-filled with pearl red and black enamel. The minuscule clearance of approximately 1mm between the GT and R characters requires expert precision during the black enamel application. Each emblem is produced by a skilled Japanese metalwork manufacturer.

An additional highlight is the embossed GT-R logo embedded within the leather, a detail inspired by GT-R steering wheel elements. This intricate process involves carefully thinning the leather backing and adjusting core thickness by hand to achieve a powerful embossed effect—a true testament to NEGRONI’s craftsmanship.

Fit Considerations

The IDEA CORSA is built on a 3E last, offering generous width and instep volume to suit a variety of foot shapes, particularly those common in Japan. The NEGRONI LEATHER upper is both durable and versatile, making it one of the most practical versions within the IDEA CORSA range. A specially developed bucket insole enhances heel and arch support, increasing the shoe’s rigidity and enabling a more sensitive, precise driving feel.
