A special collaboration model that recreates the iconic body color Midnight Purple.

❶ Essence — Design & Structure

IDEA CORSA is Negroni’s flagship model, developed in pursuit of the ideal driving shoe. This collaboration was realized under the supervision of Hiroshi Tamura—former chief product specialist for the Nissan GT-R and Fairlady Z, and current Brand Ambassador for the NISSAN Z. The dedicated last is designed on a 3E standard, providing ample volume in both width and instep, ensuring a natural fit for Japanese foot shapes. The newly designed bucket insole firmly supports the arch and heel, enhancing the shoe’s overall rigidity while delivering a highly sensitive pedal feel.

❷ Expression — Materials & Aesthetics

The upper is crafted from glass leather finished in Midnight Purple, the iconic shifting-pearl color seen on the R35 GT-R and successive generations of Z and GT-R models. Its deep luster and multi-layered hues change with the angle of light, blending the mystique of motorsport with modern elegance. Checker Steel Leather is used on the heel, topline, and twin eyelets, combining durability with lightness. The side emblem is also unified in this material, lending coherence and refinement to the silhouette.

The robust upper combined with the bucket insole delivers firm support across the entire foot. This ensures stable comfort even during long drives or urban walks, while translating pedal actions into quick and precise responses. The driver can fully enjoy the sharpened sensitivity that defines IDEA CORSA.

❹ Legacy — History & Heritage

This model was born from the long-standing use of IDEA CORSA by Hiroshi Tamura and Negroni’s dedication to craftsmanship. The Z logo emblem is produced by a historic badge maker with over 108 years of heritage. Through repeated sub-millimeter adjustments and the delicate process of infusing color into ultra-fine lines, it was perfected as a detail symbolizing the intersection of Japanese automotive culture and traditional craftsmanship.

IDEA CORSA × NISSAN Z “Midnight Purple” represents the union of the Z’s racing lineage with the pursuit of the ideal driving shoe. Designed to perform across a wide range of scenarios—from daily lifestyle to circuit driving—it has earned recognition as a benchmark in international super sports car development. Draped in the Z’s most emblematic color, it stands as an icon to be carried forward for future generations.
