❶ Design and Construction - Essence

Idea Corsa is NEGRONI's flagship model, born from the pursuit of the ideal driving shoe.

The specially developed 3E standard last has ample volume in the width and instep, and is designed to naturally conform to the foot shape of most Japanese people. In addition to a powerful fit that envelops the entire foot, it is equipped with a bucket insole that provides three-dimensional support for the arch and heel. This increases the rigidity of the entire shoe and provides a precise pedal feel.

❷ Material and Expression

The upper is made of thick, firm Tuscan suede. It features a rich, brushed texture and deep color, and combines a moist feel with a solid sense of rigidity. The balance of softness and durability that only suede can offer creates the ideal fit for Idea Corsa. Carbon split leather is used on the heel, top line, and twin eyelets, giving the design strength and durability.

❸ Comfort and responsiveness

The thick suede provides firm support for your feet, and combined with the stability of the bucket insole, it provides a high level of rigidity. The pedals respond reliably to your foot pressure and release, allowing for precise control of your pedal operation. They combine the rigidity required for sporty driving with the comfort needed for long periods of use.

❹ History and Background - Legacy

The Idea Corsa has been adopted as the development standard for super sports cars both in Japan and overseas due to its excellent driving performance, and has also been regularly used as the standard shoe for driving impressions on European motorsport television programs. The suede model inherits this tradition while presenting a new look that makes the most of the unique characteristics of the material.

❺ Vision

The Idea Corsa Suede is made of a material that is both flexible and rigid, further clearly reflecting NEGRONI's philosophy of "shoes that enhance the resolution of your running." As a shoe that connects everyday life with sports driving, we will continue to open up new possibilities for our flagship model.

Specifications

- Upper: Tuscan suede (cowhide leather, made in Italy)
- Heel tab: Negroni Wet Track Calfskin (cowhide leather, made in Japan)
- Lining: Split leather with polyester lining
- Insole: Leather insole + high-performance cushioning material (polyester/EVA)
- Sole: Neutral color driving sole (synthetic rubber | Made in Italy)

The upper, lining, and insole are made in Japan, while the sole is made in Italy.
The final step, attaching the sole, is done one pair at a time at our own workshop, Negroni Factory Tokyo.
