GT-R Collaboration: Second Edition

This model marks the second collaboration between NEGRONI and the Nissan GT-R 2025 edition. With advisory support from Hiroshi Tamura, Brand Ambassador for Nissan Motor Corporation, and Mitsunori Morita, Chief Designer of the Advanced Design Division, NEGRONI has reengineered its signature driving sneaker, the IDEA, with a custom pattern exclusive to the GT-R edition. Inspired by the iconic color schemes of the GT-R 2025 model, every detail—from material tones and surface treatments to the design of the metal logo hardware—has been fine-tuned to reflect the spirit of this legendary sports car.

Ultimate Silver

To recreate the striking Ultimate Metal Silver paint featured on the GT-R 2025 catalog cover, NEGRONI applied a glass leather finishing technique. The leather surface is meticulously buffed to create a pearlescent silver layer, then lightly coated with a synthetic resin topcoat to achieve the distinctive metallic quality of Ultimate Silver.

Blue Heaven
　
The trimming color is inspired by Blue Heaven, a new interior shade introduced in the GT-R 2025 model. Using a combination of NEGRONI’s original embossed leather and perforated leather, this color pairing evokes a powerful contrast between the cool, industrial tone of Ultimate Metal Silver and the warm, organic elegance of Blue Heaven—capturing the handcrafted essence of the Nissan GT-R.

Exquisite Emblem Craftsmanship

The GT-R emblem, developed after extensive trial and error, is finished with nickel plating and filled with two precise colors: pearl red and black. The extremely fine clearance—approximately 1mm between the GT and R characters—requires a highly skilled process to apply the black enamel flawlessly. Each emblem is produced by a top-tier Japanese metalwork manufacturer.

Fit Considerations

The IDEA in NEGRONI LEATHER embodies the brand’s original approach to fit. Built on a 3E last developed exclusively for this model, it offers ample width and instep volume to accommodate a variety of foot shapes, particularly those common in Japan. The perforated NEGRONI LEATHER upper provides excellent breathability and a soft, supple touch, ensuring all-day comfort.
