Tour d’Elegance Japan is a touring event where classic automobiles glide through Japan’s varied landscapes, as if stitching one scene to the next.

Our support for this year’s edition arises from the long-standing relationship and mutual trust Negroni has cultivated with the event’s organizers, Shiro Horie and Paul Goldsmith.

The refined sensibility found in a luxury car’s journey resonates naturally with Negroni’s approach to craftsmanship, and it is this shared outlook that led us to take part in supporting the tour.

Now in its fifth edition, the five-day route leads participants from Kyoto to Kanazawa, Hakuba, Karuizawa, and finally to Tokyo.

While the core of the field continues to be classic and modern-classic models from the 1930s to the 1980s, this year also welcomes contemporary high-end sports cars and rare restomod machines.

Only vehicles that have been preserved with exceptional care—historically, aesthetically, and mechanically—take part.

The journey is further elevated by a selection of distinguished hotels, including Hotel The Mitsui Kyoto, Hyatt Centric Kanazawa, THE HIRAMATSU Karuizawa Miyota, and the finale at the Bulgari Hotel Tokyo.

The route has been meticulously crafted so that the movement between each destination becomes a journey in itself—one that allows the scenery, the car, and the moment to be fully appreciated.

This year, Negroni contributes award gifts for the participants, adding a small but meaningful touch to this remarkable experience.

We hope each pair serves as a companion to the memories created with their cars, and as a reminder of the road traveled.

The concours judging will take place at the Kadokawa Musashino Museum, overseen by three world-renowned automotive designers—Shiro Nakamura, Kiyoyuki Ken Okuyama, and Fabio Filippini.
