As you pass through the majestic wooden lattice entrance, the beautiful outline of the circuit suddenly appears before your eyes. The wind caresses the brand new pavement, the leaves rustle on the trees, and the morning light is slightly humid.
What awaited me there was a luxurious scene that was completely different from the time in the city.
Magarigawa Club is more than just a circuit. It's a place where people who deeply love racing and at the same time continue to question its meaning gather. With a total length of 3.5km, 22 corners, and an elevation difference of 80m, it could be described as a technical course if you just listed the numbers, but the true essence of this place lies in something much quieter.
Here, the act of facing a car itself has been carefully designed as a momentary experience. Running is not just about speed; it is a time spent facing the heartbeat of yourself and your machine, going back and forth between concentration and release.
Magarigawa is a rare space for motorsports-loving explorers of life, where the subtle movements of mechanisms honed to the utmost and even fluctuations in the driver's senses are fully accommodated.
Negroni resonates with the club's philosophy and has developed items that further support the quality of time spent at the club.
We see our products, including driving shoes and other accessories, not just as "tools for driving," but as "things that change the intensity of the experience."
Our approach to manufacturing
We designed this project to resonate with the Magarigawa brand. The product is complete only when it is used in the club, interacts with the landscape, and resonates with the user's time.
To achieve this, we selected materials by seeing and touching them with our own eyes, and we were conscious of the colors being in harmony with the light and atmosphere of Minami Boso, as well as the architectural materials within the club. The pale green of the iconic Magarigawa product is a unique coloring that is characteristic of the club, expressing the color of the run-off area of the course and the color of the glass on the facade.
With each line and shape, we place the utmost importance on ensuring that it "exists naturally" within the club's space. We aimed to create a luxurious design that blends in with Magarigawa, which is based on the concept of "inaction and nature."
Luxurious products that blend into the club atmosphere
By the afternoon in the clubhouse, the heat of the run slowly cools down. Words exchanged in a restaurant, coffee enjoyed on a pit sofa, and bodies relaxing in a villa. We believe that such time is just as important as running itself.
The shoes and accessories designed by Negroni are meant to accompany those simple moments. All of them are carefully selected with materials and colors that blend naturally with the atmosphere of the club.
Each texture is designed to quietly connect you to memories of this place every time you pick it up.
