Design Inspiration and Concept

The KINGSTON draws its design cues from double monk styles of the past, reimagined for contemporary driving performance. Key details include radiating side guards, a spearhead-shaped heel tab, and newly developed HAMMER HOOKS that allow for two fit modes: a secure hold when fastened and a relaxed fit when released. This eliminates the inconvenience often associated with double monk straps.

The HAMMER HOOKS are finished with a matte black oxide treatment, commonly used in industrial applications to prevent rust. This gives the hardware a muted sheen and a rugged, industrial character.

Tuscan Suede and Nano-Ceramic Coating

This model features NEGRONI’s signature TUSCAN SUEDE from La Conceria in Tuscany. The dense, resilient suede securely wraps the foot, providing stability for precise pedal work. Over time, it softens to allow smoother toe movement while maintaining structural integrity.

Before shipping, each pair is treated with a NANO-CERAMIC COATING developed by Ceramic Pro, a leader in automotive surface protection. This treatment provides water repellency for approximately 5–6 months, with effectiveness gradually diminishing depending on wear and conditions. For ongoing care, we recommend reapplying a product such as Collonil Carbon Pro.

Fit Concept

The KINGSTON’s fit embodies NEGRONI’s philosophy of combining technical precision with all-day comfort. The GRS last supports the foot three-dimensionally, offering a tailored feel. While the design appears sharp and elegant, the toe box retains generous depth, allowing freedom of movement.

By fastening the HAMMER HOOKS, wearers can achieve a more secure fit, ideal for driving scenarios. Releasing the hooks shifts the fit to a more relaxed profile, suitable for walking and casual use. The cushioned leather insole provides additional comfort and temperature regulation during extended wear.
